Job Application

 

You must complete an initial application screening as well as a detailed employment application and 3 employment verification forms even if your resume and reference information is available. Both applications may be sent to you for completion prior to your interview or you may be asked to arrive early so you can complete them on site.

 

Multiple Interviews

 

Interviewing at HPC is a thorough process. It is common for our candidates to have multiple interviews with one or more individuals. Depending on the department, interviews can be accomplished in a group setting or with one individual at a time.

 

Behavioral-Based Questions

In addition to asking questions about your work experiences and skills listed on your resume, you will be asked several behavioral-based questions. Examples of such questions are as follows:       


Pre-Employment Tests

HPC administers a Microsoft excel and a five minute timed typing test to most candidates. The Excel test features functional equations and exercises in sequential thinking. These tests are used as only one piece of information in our selection process. Also, depending on the position you are applying for, HPC may administer additional testing to evaluate your job skills.

 

Background Checks, Drug Testing, and Reference Checks

Realistic Job Preview Program (offered for certain positions)

Job preview programs allow you to gather more information about the position you are applying for by shadowing an expert in that role.
